Materials You will Need:
Inside this folder you will see the colors I used for this tutorial and also the mask we will be using please click here to download them.
Let’s start with putting our files in the right location! Now this is important for any materials you will be adding like gradients, preset shapes, mask etc. On your computer please find where your Paint Shop Pro folder is located at and click on that once you click on that you will see a bunch of folders, we want to access our Masks folder. Please open your mask folder and put the mask you just downloaded in this file. The mask is called dd_cumay09_kjoi_stripeol
Now that we have that loaded we need to tell Paint Shop Pro where are Mask folder is located at so it will know where to look. So in your Paint Shop Pro please go to FILES to PREFRENCES to FILE LOCATIONS. Once this is open in the right hand side we want to click on our Mask folder. Now on the left hand side where it says Mask file folders please click on the ADD button and you want to find your Mask folder on your computer and add this here. By doing that you are telling Paint Shop Pro that from today forward everytime you want to use a Mask they are to look into this folder. Now you will probably see a pop up box come up where it is telling you that it searching for more Mask just hit ok.

Now we are ready to go! Please open the second file this should be a white box with two colors in it. These are the colors I used in this tutorial you can use mine or use whatever you color you like. Now go to your menu and click on FILE and then NEW we are going to make a new image transparent at 500 pixels by pixels. Now that we have our palette ready, take your eyedropper and click on the first color to make it active. (If you don’t know how to do this please see my eyedropper tutorial) this activates that lighter shade in our material palette in the foreground. Now click on our flood fill tool and we want to flood fill our palette so the box is now that light tan color. Now we need to add a second layer to this so that we can add our second color so please go to your menu and click on LAYERS to RASTER LAYER and use the settings below Name: Layer 2, Blend Mode: Normal, Opacity 100, Link Set 0 then click OK.
Now go back to your box with the two colors that you downloaded and using your eyedropper please click on the darker brown color to activate it. And again click on your flood fill tool and flood fill this area. Now we should have our first layer as the light tan, and our second layer as the dark tan. Now in your Menu please click on LAYERS and scroll down to LOAD/SAVE MASK and then to LOAD MASK FROM DISK. This will bring up a pop up box, in the first box on the left please click on the arrow and we want to find our mask which was called dd_cumay09_kjoi_stripeol.

Now that we our mask chosen please use these settings as shown below, Create Mask from: Source Luminance, Orientation: Fit to Canvas, Options: Hide all masks. Then Click LOAD

Now your finished product should look like mine!!
Congradulations you are finished! Now go to Files to SAVE AS and save this as a JPEG format. Now below please find some resources for FREE masks you can download and play with!!
