Tutorial: Using your Autosave Feature

This is a VERY important feature and one of the first things you should turn on when using your Paint Shop Pro. The AutoSave Feature automatically saves a backup file of whatever you are currently working at specific times that you set. This comes in handy in case your computer locks up, or maybe your power goes off you won’t lose everything you were working on! This is a HUGE bonus and feature you will need to have turned on in Paint Shop Pro.

To turn this feature on please go to your menu bar in PSP and click on FILE and then go to PREFRENCES to AUTOSAVE SETTINGS

You will get a pop up box like below please put a checkmark next to autosave and then choose 5 minutes and click OK now you have your backup protection running!

Now you need to know where Paint Shop Pro saves your Temporary Files. In case you should ever need your backup files, plus you will want to empty this periodically so that it does not drag down your computer. To find out the file location please go to menu bar and click on FILES and then PREFRENCES to FILE LOCATIONS now on the right hand side please scroll down to Undo/Temporary Files and from there you can choose which folder you want your backup copies stored.
