Marching Ants: The dotted lines that surround an image in PSP
PSP: Stands for Paint Shop Pro
Tutorial: Using the Eye Dropper Tool
1. We are going to start with opening a blank image! To do this go to your menu at the top of Paint Shop Pro and click on FILE and then NEW and you will get a pop up box.

On the pop up box please use the settings that are shown. In the first box width should be 200 and height is also 200 resolution should be 300 Then under Image Characteristics choose raster background. Color Depth 16 million depth 24 bit. Check transparent. Then click the OK button. This will put a transparent box on your PSP Page.
Now lets take our selection tool in the circle shape and we are going to draw a some circles to fill in. So click on the selection tool it looks like this
in the menu options of this tool you want to choose circle or eclipse as the shape or any shape you want really! Now using your selection tool make some circles inside the box. Like Shown Below

Now using our flood fill tool please flood fill the circles with two colors of your choice just so you have two diffrent colors going like shown below
Now in our menu please go to SELECTIONS and then choose SELECT NONE this will remove those marching ants from around our circles. Ok now we want to change our purple circles to green so that I have a whole box of green circles or whatever color you are using. So please click on your eyedropper tool
Now after you click on your eyedropper tool I want you to place that eyedropper anywhere on one of the green circles as shown below. What this does is finds out exactly what color that green is and it puts this color of green in your materials area in the foreground section as shown below:
Now you can see we have our green ready to go in our materials foreground so click on our flood fill tool and simply click on the inside of those purple circles and they should green now. So now you should have a whole box full of green circles as shown below

Your eye dropper tool is essential because you are not going to have time to write down all the HTML codes for your favorite colors but by taking your eyedropper and clicking on the color that you like it will make it active in your materials foreground. This is a very useful tool you will use ALOT!
